Fear of the unknown

The design of the bike.

My personal fear is linked to the drawing motorbikes and chopper bikes. Cars have never been a problem, I drew them with pleasure since I can remember. The fear of such things transcending by attempt to design exactly what we fear. They say that fear is mostly caused by the unknown, ignorance, we should also sort time to learn drawing our "fear" if we learn the "opponent".

It is for this reason I started writing this to you, that you find ways to overcome your fear related to drawing, design. These days I will focus creative energy on this kind of fear, fear of the motorbike. You will see in blog if I had did it. In this I will not be alone, I will have the support of my friend who was driving the motorcycle and a keen biker. I think that he know a lot about bikes and he will help me to breathe somehow "soul" to that design.

The motorbikes I had never understood, I was not interested. The brands of motorbikes I know is the brands of motorbikes of Japanese, some Italian and that's it. I was driving on a motorcycle twice, once on Tomos and Honda of six hundred cubic meters it was an unforgettable experience. That my experience of motorbikes are not nearly enough to venture into serious design.

Now that I write this I begin to doubt if I will even be able to do such a design that I would be pleased and here is that fear again. I'll try, and therein lies the key. Try to draw, not once, not twice, but until you defeat fear and begin to design a fantastic things. I have already tried, so I devised a series of "chopper", it was very inspiring and motivating for me and for my further career. A similar feeling I had when I first "built" walls in AutoCAD or when I first made an amorphous form.

Design like the way we live

(Functionally designed - part 1)

The design is basically to attract us, to force us, to capture a single product, to choose that interior or to buy that magazine. Behind this superficial aesthetic component is the main component that is hiding. Very often that concerns use of products or interiors and we should certainly think of that when we design. The function must be "respected" and there is no but. The function is, if revolutionary, component that would move the boundaries of the product.

The chair may be the most beautiful thing we had ever seen, but if we can not sit on it then it is not a chair.

Design functional is perhaps most difficult, because only realise function of the product is not enough. We must go down deeper and think in layers, analyze, study and find the right solution. No design rise from "first". We must search, sometimes it takes longer, sometimes shorter. Sometimes it seems that there is no solution, at same point that is right attitude but partly wrong, cause there is no apsolute solution.

Often, architects / designers carried away, carried away by art in themselves, and then override the aesthetic component of the functionality and then in the end user have a problem with handling / using the product / space. Such things can not be avoided sometimes, but they should be cut completely or to make that less in the final design.

When you do not fulfill the request of use of the product, do not perform their functions, it is the biggest mistake in the design and can not, should not be considered a successful design. No one forces us to invent a hole in the pot but to try to find a new solution we can and we will - because we are designers and we are to expect.

TV set for BG Fair in 2009

Large size (330 cm.) it can not fit on every wall but represents one game of form and shape we had not see everyday day.

"Honey library"

Designed to look like honeycomb and to provide enough space for all multimedia devices client have.

Club table

I was experimenting with forms and toyed with my own imagination. Soon I created this table that inspires everyone in a different way.

Library - The mast

This library was a great challenge for the craftsmen who made it. It was necessary to preciselycut MDF (later painted in high gloss) and connect it using "comb".

Library

The amazing how we managed to fit up to 4 materials (veneer, leather, universities, rattan) in one so small library (measuring 150cm width., Depth 35cm., Height 150 cm.).

Work space

Right colorful snack, designed to make work space around us inspirational. TV has been requested by the client and it could not be excluded from the design of this space.

Kids room

Small spaces somehow are for those that are the smallest, we decided to make space more accessible to them, to make space look bigger.
